Along with seeing Flogging Molly this Sunday, quite a few other bands will be playing including some of my personal favorites, Cold War Kids and The Ting Tings.
Cold War Kids is fairly traditional rock music made interesting with a more old time sound that comes from the discord of harmony they create with their instruments, lead singer Nathan Willett's voice also adds something different to the band as it verges upon all out screaming and blasphemy at times, however never goes too far as to ruin a song, only immerse it with his own emotion.
Cold War Kids - Hang Me Up To DryCold War Kids - Hospital BedsThe Ting Tings mix girl-rock and electropop together for a very catchy and peppy sound, probably known best for the song "Shut Up and Let Me Go" featured on one of the most recent iPod commercials, the same fun sound pervades throughout their debut record as well.
